From the creator of Lost, Star Trek 2 and World War Z comes a new series The Leftovers on HBO. Damon Linedelof has announced that he will be returning to television-based projects after venturing onto the big screen. The Leftovers will be an adaptation of Tom Perrotta’s 2011 novel, and that they are currently holding castings and auditions for several feature and extra roles. The only role that has been cast is the role of y Kevin Garvey, a chief of police and father of two and will be played by Justin Theroux. The casting directors have announced that they are now holding auditions for several feature and extra roles. The main story revolves around the town’s Mayor, Kevin Garvey, and his attempt to help his community – which saw 100 people disappear in the event – as his own family deteriorates around him. Garvey’s wife has taken up with a cult known as the Guilty Remnant and his son is now following a self-proclaimed prophet going by the name Holy Wayne. Only, his daughter remains with Kevin, but the event has left her changed, too.
The HBO series is set to start filing in June and Late July in the New York area and the casting directors are now holding castings and auditions for male and female actors of all ages and backgrounds. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring actor to be a part of a hit HBO series.
