Aubrey Drake Graham, who works under the name Drake is a Canadian music artist (most r&b, and hip hop) and an actor. He was previously known for his work as an actor on the Canadian hit teen show “Degrassi: The Next Generation. He rose to stardom from there after his multiple mixtapes were leaked and generated enormous hype and buzz in the hip hop community. “So Far Gone” was the mixtape that reached the biggest success from its release. From then on he went on to release his first official album “Thank Me Later” and this year he released his ever so anticipated album “Take Care” which landed a lot of hype around the world with the single “Take Care” featuring Rihanna.Currently Drake took down an offer for a film role and is not working on his 3rd solo album which is set to be released sometime next year. In the mean time he released a Jewish Barmitzvah inspired video for the single “HYFR” with Lil Wayne. It is also nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop Video this year. Drake has noted that his biggest influences have been Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Aliyah, besides his favorite mentor Lil Wayne who was the one who gave him a shot when nobody else beleived in his music. Currently he is in the UK and is set to release a new music video when he comes back for a single off of his album “Take Care” featuring a few well known artists.
